Just reread the article about Erin and her on going work in Malawi. Even though I know a lot of this information already, it is great to see if written out in her own words for the rest of the world to discover.
Just returned from our 2016 With Change in Mind (WCIM) annual board meeting and as usual I am very proud of not only the CEO of WCIM, but all of the members of the board as well. Every one of the board members is committed to not only WCIM and its mission, but to the program that has been developed over the years by Erin. We are all dedicated to doing what we can as members of the board to support Erin and the vision she has created for WCIM.
It looks like this year will be another successful one filled with exciting trips, great volunteers and an unparalleled opportunity for anyone who signs up for a trip to have a once in a life time experience. The two trips I have taken to Malawi have been life changing for me and that each trip gave much more to me as a person than I can easily express in writing.
If you have ever thought about taking a trip that would allow you to not only experience a unique and wonderful culture but also allow you to truly make a difference in the lives of many people, especially children, this is the organization and the trip for you. The people you will meet in Malawi and work with on a daily basis are truly wonderful, compassionate and caring individuals. They immediately put you at ease and make you know that you are truly welcomed into their lives.
As you approach the Adziwa center for the first time you will immediately know that you have made one of the best decisions of your life. Seeing all those children and the joy they openly and unconditionally express as you come into their world is truly worth all of the planning and effort it takes to put together a trip like. You will immediately know that all of your effort to make this happen was worth every bit of it. One of the great things is every time you come to Adziwa, you will have the same feeling inside yourself. Whether it is the first day of your trip or the last.
I cannot speak highly enough to the quality of these trips and the complete experience you will come away with at the end. As you board the plane for your journey home you will immediately be thinking to yourself, how soon can I come back and do this again. I guarantee it.
I am extremely proud to be a small part of With Change In Mind and I look forward to its continued growth as a purpose driven organization. It has already changed so many lives for the better through out Malawi and I know it will continue to change lives not only in Malawi but among the volunteers from all over the world who take the opportunity to step out and experience all that WCIM has to offer.
Take that trip.
